This Privacy Policy explains how Prompy (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website. Prompy is a prompt library, not a generator. We process the minimum we need to run the library, review submissions, answer mail, and — when advertising is enabled — show ads.

Information we collect

We may collect:

• Account details you provide (name, email, password, optional avatar and bio).
• Prompt content and cover images you upload.
• Messages you send through the Contact form (name, email, subject, message).
• Like and copy actions tied to your account or, if you are a guest, to a session key.
• Usage data such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location from your IP address, stored in server logs.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies that are necessary to run the site (login sessions and a CSRF token). We may also use Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed. Google and its partners may collect and process data as described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use their services.

When ads are enabled we load the AdSense script only after you accept non-essential cookies, except where a legal exception applies. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account and through your browser. You can also use the cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies.

Our ads.txt file lists our authorised ad seller when a publisher id is configured.

How we use information

We use information to operate the library, publish approved prompts, credit creators, count likes and copies, respond to messages, improve the site, keep it secure, and display advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your prompts as a secret training set we ship to a third party.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to run your account), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the site), consent (non-essential cookies and personalized ads), and legal obligation when the law requires it.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who host the site, store files, and serve ads (including Google). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users.

Retention

We keep account and published content for as long as the account or content remains on the site. Server logs are rotated on a routine schedule. You may request deletion of your account through the Contact page.

Your choices

You can update your profile from the dashboard. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, email us via the Contact page from the address on the account. You may object to personalized ads as described above.

Children

Prompy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not allow sexual content involving minors.
